A Fair Chance to Learn

Education is free in Tanzania, but access to education is not. Many children in rural communities cannot afford basic school supplies such as uniforms, shoes, bags and learning materials.

As a result, some leave school before they have learned to read and write. The distance between a child and a classroom is often the price of a few everyday items.

That is a gap ordinary people can close. Notebooks, pens and a uniform are small things, and together they give a child a fair chance to learn, dream and write their own story.
